Kyle & Melanie | Engagement Session | August A. Busch. Memorial Conservation Area

Updated: Jul 21, 2020

Kyle and Melanie met in high school, but Melanie didn't like Kyle much back then. It wasn't until after high school when Kyle started hanging around Melanie's friend group, that she realized what a great guy Kyle was. They started dating in 2013 when they were both 19.

In December of 2018 after 6 years of dating, Kyle asked Melanie out to dinner and to the Garden Glow at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. They also invited their best friends out with them. As they were nearing the end of the garden, Kyle asked Melanie to take a photo with him in front of one of the beautifully lit trees. As Melanie was facing the camera, Kyle got down on one knee and Melanie's first response was "What are you doing?" Followed by a resounding yes.

Kyle and Melanie are the sweetest couple, and their chemistry is unmistakable. We had the perfect weather for their amazing engagement session. Check out my favorites from their session.

Kyle and Melanie made it so easy to capture amazing photographs. It didn't hurt that Busch Wildlife has so many amazing areas to choose from.

As we were going to another location, I saw that the wildflower fields were in full bloom so I pulled my car onto the side of the road and jumped out. Kyle and Melanie knew exactly what I was thinking and hopped out too.

We did eventually make it to our next location in the gorgeous forest and tall grass fields.

We were having such a good time, we stayed all the way until sunset. When we captured my favorite photos of the day.

I can't wait for Kyle and Melanie's wedding this fall at the gorgeous Cedar Creek Hotel & Events Center.
